Here's a video that I just posted on YouTube. In it I demonstate setting up my QRP station, show some of the features of my K1 and then talk a little about my QRP operating experiences. The video itself was done by John Reed K0KTY (SK) about 2 years ago.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BUeJOuu5...

Labels:
qrpxpedition
Today I finally made it away for some more QRP operating. This time it was to Great River Bluffs State Park (See http://www.dnr.state.mn.us/state_parks/great_river_bluffs/ ). This park is along the bluffs of southeastern Minnesota overlooking the Mississippi River Valley. From my operating position I could see far into Wisconsin and watch the hawks soaring below me. Using my K1 and a 32' endfed wire on 14.060 I worked both K7UP,...

Due to simplicity of design loop correction was done in few min. Visit the authors page to see details of antenna. http://www.m0nde.co.uk/CVLQFA.htm...

An Hexagonal Beam in 3 hours..Over the last few years, I have heard guys using Hexbeam antennas. As this antenna was new to me, I got a few of these stations to rotate their beams so I could see the front-to-back ratio. I also got descriptions as to how they were put together, how they performed etc.As I collected information from various...

Home brew hot air pencil
For my Modding my EEE PC to do Awesome Things project, I've found that I need a way to desolder really tough components from a board. I've seen articles online where the author took an electronic desoldering iron, added an aquarium pump, and turned it into a pretty effective hot air pencil.Just by chance, we have started selling those desoldering...
